murphy lover 101
I have a fancy goldfish with little textured spots on it's tail. They have been there for a while, any thoughts? Also now that I look at the picture, is that a little bit of fit rot we have going on?

murphy lover 101
It could definitely be making it more noticeable, but it has been an issue long before an ammonia spike. They don't look like ich spots, more raised bumps slightly larger than ich that are a similar color to the fish and they are mostly on the tail. You can get raised white spots or lumps on the fin rays of goldfish when they facture a fin ray and you get a proliferation of fibrous tissue to help stabilise the break causing these white lumps it's very common in long fined goldfish and nothing to worry about ich is flat white spots that look like a sinking of salt on the fins and and body Edited August 11 by Colu
