Fishy101
Hello, I’ve had a betta with Popeye for 2-3 days and it hasn’t gotten better on its own. How should I treat it? Other than her eye she has been acting normal. I will attach a couple photos. Thank you
Colu
Popeye can be caused by a number of things such as a growth behind the eyes injury bacterial infections usually when it's only effecting one eye it caused by an injury what I would do is add 1 table spoon for 3 gallons of aquarium salt the salt will help reduce the fluid buildup in the eye if after 5 days of salt treatment your seeing no improvement in the eye then I would do a course of kanaplex or maracyn2 @Fishy101 Edited June 11, 2023 by Colu
FirstClassFish
Epsom Salt will help remove fluid. Hope it works, this one can be tricky!
Fishy101
Hello, I did the treatment of salt and then maracyn as I did not see much improvement. Tomorrow is the last day of maracyn treatment and unfortunately it’s not looking much better. What should I do now? thanks!

As you have treated with salt and maracyn and not seen much improvement it more than likely an injury to the eye and it might need some time before you see any improvement what I would do is leave it two weeks without any treatment and just monitor update if he's gets worse before then
