Louise02
If you add some salt to your molly aquarium, but still grow plants, what do you find to be a safe level of salt for the plants? 1tsp per 10 gallons? Also, what have you had success with in slightly brackish water? or is it not even worth trying?
Fish Folk
Where are you sourcing your Mollies? If wild-caught, that's one matter. If you are just trying to add salt to improve health, or experiment, that's another. We have bred domestic strain in a planted tank with very soft water... It was an interesting breeding experience. The adults were heterozygous, and cast off a fascinating array of colors.
Scapexghost
I think cory says 1 tbs per 20 of marine salt is beneficial for plants. Try to wain your mollies onto less salt

I like those, that would add some color to the tank for sure but so would the rainbow shiners, hopefully the 3 molly's I have will do good with them as well, I'd love to see your whole set up.
