It comes to 0.46grams for 60 gallons I would leave that dose for 4hr before removing it with active carbon potassium permanganate is toxic in water with high pH Edited February 21, 2023 by Colu Typo 0.46 not 0.

Trying to go into the new tank as disease free as possible. Dosing the 75 on Tuesday, plants and fish. I've tried every med in the book. I have some pesky parasite and hopefully this solves the problem. I will update how it goes. Edited March 20, 2023 by Mmiller2001

No, it's probably one of the more extreme parasite treatments available. Kills bacteria as well.

Mmiller2001
Thanks, the potassium permanganate went brown fast, so dosed half of my original dose and it's now holding pink better. Almost an hour in. I need 4 hours of treatment, but will treat again tomorrow even if I can't get the PP to hold for 4 hours. Mmiller2001
I had 1 fish near the top so ended treatment. H2O2 instantly nullifies PP. Repeating it tomorrow and a big water change tonight.
Mmiller2001
I'd like to add a dosing instruction for those who may find this post. Add 7.5 grams of PP to 100ml of ro or distilled water. 2 drops per gallon of aquarium water will achieve the 2ppm dosage required.
