Blue Ram Stocking Question

I am sorry if this is a duplicate, but I did look first!  Do blue rams need to be kept as part of a school, or are they ok as just a pair in a community tank with other species?  I have seen conflicting information and wanted to get feedback from people who may actually keep them in their own tanks.  Thanks for any help!

A pair is just fine. They are really sweet. Mine do well with neocaridina, CPD, snails and bn pleco. They have the most awesome personalities.

I have kept rams in single, duo, trio, and group. A ram does not care if it's by itself or with others. I would however recommend if keeping a trio or a group, keep 1 male to 2 females. This will lower aggression. It is also based off of the tank size.
