TheSwissAquarist
I’m toying with the idea of breeding some tetras, and infusoria is a recommended food to start them on. What setup have you used to culture it? Has it been successful? Thanks!
The endler guy
Isn’t it just microbes? Probably the good ol glass of water, fish food and light method also look into having mystery snails in you breeding tank (they are commonly referred to as Infusoria snails in scientific literature)

Theplatymaster
@TheSwissAquarist i have been doing this for a while, i have ended up possibly having infusorians but also green water, and mostly copepods. i filled a peanutbutter pretzel container with old tank water, squeezed out filter media into it, put it into sunlight, and occasionally put it food, i bet if i needed it i could use that to feed fry.
Andy's Fish Den
Gallon glass jar, filled with aged tank water, took a couple pieces of brocoli, microwaved for a minute or two to soften, let it cool then added to jar of water. Cover jar with a piece of paper towel that rubber banded to hold on set. Give it a few days and the water will be cloudy, but if you look its all kinds of moving, living single cell creatures.
