Does Stability Expire?

I have a bottle of seachem stability that i got last year for cycling my tank. Now i am setting up a new tank (2.5gallon cherry shrimp tank), and was wondering if my bottle was still good. On the bottle it claims that it expires in 5 years, but i doubt this. So as the title would infer, at what point does this product expire.

Seachem's website states that it has a 4 year shelf life, so you should be just fine. If the expiration dates are not stamped on the bottle, I know they can look up the expiration date based on the 5 digit lot number on the bottle. You would have to just call them or post it on their forum.

I would agree with @Xr4tiCrew. You should be just fine using it now.

It depends of how you store bottled bacterial it can die resulting in an ammonia spike when added to your tank
