The endler guy
last Saturday I got a mystery snail from my lfs yesterday and today it hasn’t moved, and it’s operculum was closed (but yesterday I saw it opening and closing slightly, although it could have been a shrimp or snail moving it) and now it is slightly open but did not react to it being moved, picked up, or having shrimp/ rams horn snails, in it, on it or around it. Strange thing is that it doesn’t smell. I think it is dead (due to shock as I admittedly barely acclimated very well at all) but wanted to be sure
Guppysnail
Touch the “flesh”. If it will not react by retracing it has passed. If you can’t touch the flesh with finger or qtip try gently pulling open the operculum. If you can he passed. If no he is still holding himself in. They get scared and take time to adjust. If he is still alive put food in front of him and give him a few days. Edited January 23 by Guppysnail
