Aquarium safe wire?

I have puzzled a few small pieces of driftwood together to look like a larger piece. I am wanting to attach it together so I don’t have to redo the puzzle if I bump it during maintenance or if I want to move it to a different part of the tank. I don’t want to glue it as I want to be able to reuse the individual pieces in the future. I am thinking wire would be my best bet. What type of wire is aquarium safe?

Stainless steel wire you’ll be the only thing safe as far as non-toxic, but I agree with @Flumpweeselabout avoiding sharp point.  You might consider using black or brown plastic zip ties, cutting them close the clasp, then using a small file (even a nail file) to smooth off the cut edge.  Don’t try to use the “reusable” zip ties since they have a tiny metal bit inside them that is what makes them reusable, but that metal piece is NOT stainless steel and quickly corrodes and makes the zip tie open up.  Ask me how I know.  🤦🏻‍♀️ 🤷🏻‍♀️
