  1. I have puzzled a few small pieces of driftwood together to look like a larger piece. I am wanting to attach it together so I don’t have to redo the puzzle if I bump it during maintenance or if I want to move it to a different part of the tank. I don’t want to glue it as I want to be able to reuse the individual pieces in the future. I am thinking wire would be my best bet. What type of wire is aquarium safe?
  2. Is there a way to get rid of Cyanobacteria while maintaining the beneficial bacteria? I am struggling with cyanobacteria in my planted tank. I’ve cut back on light and upped easy green to try to balance everything but wasn’t sure if there is anything else I could do to help get rid of it. I was hoping to use some gavel and hard scape from that tank to seed a new tank soon so don’t want to kill the beneficial bacteria.
  3. I am wanting to add driftwood to my tank but I’m concerned about how it could change my water parameters. From the research I have done I know driftwood has potential to lower ph and hardness. With me being in Seattle I am already at the lower end of both of those. I am using crushed coral to increase those and don’t want to add driftwood if it’s just going to counteract that. Is there a way to add driftwood without effecting parameters?
