Minanora
I am looking for some advice for treating a guppy that went ragged in about 24 hours. He's not bloated, just pinecone scales, fins totally toast. The tank was pH 7.6, GH 300+, KH 18°, ammonia 0, nitrite .25, nitrate 10, 73°f No previous illness, Guppies in here for a year. I moved this guy into a specimen container, changed his water, he's doing a bit better today but looks rough as all heck.

Minanora
Yeah this is a weird one. I don't want to stress him out so I'm just isolating him until I have some input, clean water, same temp as main tank. I'm about to steep some IAL tea for him. Colu
The fact there's no bloating is odd with the pineconing you could be dealing with a bacteria infection that would explain the rapid deterioration what I would do is add some aquarium salt 1 table for 3 gallons and if he's Still eating do a course of kanaplex in food feeding a small amount twice a day for 7 days @Minanora Edited November 5, 2022 by Colu

On it! I added a healthy dose of IAL tannins to his water as well. He's fighting the good fight.
