Nitrite spike Guppy health 2.0

I am looking for some advice for treating a guppy that went ragged in about 24 hours. He's not bloated, just pinecone scales, fins totally toast.

The tank was

pH 7.6, GH 300+, KH 18°, ammonia 0, nitrite .25, nitrate 10, 73°f

No previous illness, Guppies in here for a year.

I moved this guy into a specimen container, changed his water, he's doing a bit better today but looks rough as all heck.

The fact there's no bloating is odd with the pineconing you could be dealing with a bacteria infection  that would explain the rapid deterioration what I would do is add some aquarium salt 1 table for 3 gallons and if he's Still eating do a course of kanaplex in food feeding a small amount twice a day for 7 days @Minanora

Thank you colu. On it! I added a healthy dose of IAL tannins to his water as well. He's fighting the good fight.
