Is this pearling?

So about a week ago I got some stem plants and yesterday I put them in a small tank and added some co2 and a fluval nano light and now there are bubbles coming from the broken end of the stems, should I seal them with something? LoL I've never seen stems pearl like this

might just be doing that because there is nothing making it leave through the plants skin. if its doing it fast though idk

broken/damaged plants will tend to do it from right at the damaged part. i guess it is technically pearling, but its not quite the same as having it from healthy thriving plants.

Should I plug the ends so it pushes the gas through the leaves? Or does it matter?

I personally don't think it matters. And haven't found any reason to do so

I don't really think you can "plug' a plant with duct tape or crazy glue 🤣. Best fix is to let nature take its course, it should repair itself. All you can do is provide the best conditions possible for plant growth and hope for the best! I'm not sure how much live material you have to work with but a lot of times a strategic snip will encourage growth.
