PattysAquatics
I have an Anubias Barteri and it is growing like a tree to the water surface. I love the look of it but needs to be trimmed soon. My question is how does it grow after it’s trimmed, will it continue to grow from where it was trimmed or branch off ? Just curious so I know where to trim it. Thanks in advance
Ken Burke
If you cut the rhizome both ends will grow, so you effectively have 2 plants. I’ve cut thr one above a few times. As you can see, they can really fill out. Btw: you plants are awesome
Jenja
Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but when trimming an anubias you have to take the entire leaf and stem (unlike stem plants where the stem will have offshoots wherever you cut it , all the leaves of the anubias grow from the rhizome and not the stem of the leaf). Ken Burke
@JenjaWhen trimming Anubias you want to cut the rhizome, leaving a leaves on both ends.
