billango
Hello, just starting a 37 gallon community tank with a betta, a couple SAEs, gonna get some corys, and was looking at a mid level schooling fish to round things out. I found the chili rasboras to be very attractive but am not sure if they will be safe with a betta fish. If anyone has any insight that would be appreciated, and if theyre not a good match, I'd be happy to take some other mid level fish suggestions. Thanks! lefty o
its all dependent on the individual betta. some are fine with other fish, others are not.

Agreed. Some bettas are very aggressive and some are very peaceful. It all depends on the betta's personality.
Tazalanche
I'm not of much help with the betta part of your post, because I was always concerned about potential aggression levels from them in my community aquariums. If it makes a difference in your plans, I've kept chili rasboras for about 6 years, in 4 different aquariums, and they rarely go down to the middle of the water column. They're usually near the top. However, my celestial pearl danios & emerald dwarf rasboras tend to hang out in the middle & bottom of the water column.
