Native Keeper
Hi everyone! I recently bought some calcium sand for a terrarium I'm working on, but I didn't end up using a lot of it, and I have no clue when I'll set up another terrarium, so here's my question: Can reptile calcium sand be used in aquariums? Tihshho
Being that it's aimed for reptiles, and high calcium based, I would avoid it IMO. Some of those sands are hydrophobic too, so it might make a mess.
Dancing Matt
You would want to know the composition or what the substance it to be most confident, specifically if it would alter your pH or dissolve any unwanted compounds into your water.
