Henry the fish keeper
Hey everyone! Planning to get some balloon mollies and I watched @Irene care guide about balloon mollies. Should I be aware of anything before I go and get balloon mollies?
quikv6
......Offhand, without having watched that video: 1) Your water, especially GH/KH, and to a lesser degree, PH. 2) Size/Volume of the tank they will be living in. 3) Male-to-Female ratio. 4) What to do with their fry. 5) Food you will be feeding them. Beardedbillygoat1975
Any balloon species I’ve owned there’s been issues with their digestion. Make sure their diet includes some spirulina, veggies flakes and brine shrimp to help their digestion.

Like algae wafers/thins.
Beardedbillygoat1975
Possibly. Mollys will pick at the substrate some can’t say I’ve seen them go after those chips or wafers but it’s worth a shot.
