Root
Hello! I purchased about 15 dwarf sag a month ago and have started noticing that a lot the original sag has a yellow leaf or two. They have just about doubled and the runners are coming up super green with no signs of yellow and all the other plants in the aquarium are doing well. I just placed some root tabs in about two weeks ago and add liquid fertilizer twice a week. I run co2 and keep the lights going for 8 hours a day. Is this just the older plant dying back some or is there a deficiency somewhere?
Mmiller2001
How much fertilizer are you adding and which kind?

Mmiller2001
Ah, you are not dosing enough macros (NPK). Those plants look deficient and root tabs are misleading. I would add a NPK source along with the Flourish. When you get the water column dosing correct, you can discontinue root tabs if you want.
Root
Thanks! What NPK source do you recommend?
Mmiller2001
My personal choice is dry fertilizers, but the simple options are Easy Green Nilocg Thrive APT If you use all in in one fertilizers, you will have to adjust the Flourish dose.
