BAT
The plan seems to be doing ok otherwise. There was a big die back but it now seems to be doing ok and sending up new shoots. But this seems weird. It’s like the shoot turns to mush in older shoots. What is going on?
Fish Folk
I’ve had this happen too. I cut a few because the pads were taking over the surface. The plant seemed to respond by just dying away.
Torrey
Lily pads don't have a long lifespan if I remember correctly? Older pads would die back as new pads erupted in our pond, and if I remember correctly (which is not a guarantee post TIA) the tank ones are similar. 1
