hopeful1
My Java Moss seemed to do poorly at 80 tied to Angel Fish and breeding Which plants, mosses, and grasses do well at higher temperatures. Thanks
Mmiller2001
Yeah, mosses are a fickly bunch aren't they! Java moss enjoys cooler water for sure. I would try some Frogbit and Anubia. I bet some dwarf Sag would be okay too. Honestly, most plants should be fine at higher temps, but some mosses revolt. I take the try and toss approach. I try different plants, if they don't like it, I toss them and try another. 😁 I would try Hygrophila Polysperma, pretty bullet proof plant if I was honest.
Seattle_Aquarist
Hi @hopeful1 I have discus that I keep at 85 degrees and have experimented with several species and was surprised at how many did very well at the higher temperatures. Here are some of them: Bacopa colorata Microsporum pteropus 'Trident' and 'Windelov' Ceratopteris thalictroides Limnophila sp. 'Curly' Rotala H'ra Rotala sp. Bangladesh Nymphoides hydrophylla Ludwigia arcuata Myriophyllum sp. 'Guyana' Ludwigia arcuata x repens Barclaya longifolia Staurogyne 'Porto Velho' Helanthium angustifolia 'Vesuvius' Minimum nutrient dosing but I do have CO2. -Roy 2
