Reactor Axe Man
When your puffer cannot possibly be more relaxed, he has achieved Maximum Fishloaf status. See how Murphy has patiently crafted a nesting spot that accommodates his clam-laden belly while providing a comfy shelf to rest his chin upon. 2 3

dangerflower
I never thought a fish could loaf but that's definitely a loaf! What a cute buddy
Patrick_G
Murphy is an amazing creature, I can’t wait to see his behavior in his new tank.
Reactor Axe Man
I really think this will be amazing. We have this amazing beast who has never known but one environment for six years of his life suddenly cast into a tank 4 times the volume he has previously lived in. Even Ladybird has known more change than Murphy. I'm not sure how the co-op will even handle trying to video his vastly larger new tank.
xXInkedPhoenixX
Do we know how long species of his kind live in captivity?
Reactor Axe Man
Most sources I've seen quote 10 years, but recently a source from Mbu puffer owners has come out declaring that a well cared for Mbu can live for 20+ years. I myself have no idea. Aquarium Co-Op's previous mascot Hank succumbed to a congenital disease at an early age, for which there was no way to detect or treat the condition. I myself wish Murphy and his sister Ladybird a long healthy life.
