Teleporting Fry

Today while making dinner I was absently staring into the betta tank thinking about how many snails it has now when I saw.... a platy fry in the betta tank.

It's a 10g tank with a lot of plants in it because it's where I toss plant scraps to save them for later, but I haven't tossed any plants into it in I don't know how long--my guess would have been a couple of weeks. Maybe he had been lodged in one of the chain sword plantlets I threw in. I can't think of how else he would have gotten in.

Luckily, he wasn't net savvy and it took only two tries to nab him and return him to the platy tank, but once again, I was a bit scared of the teleporting abilities of fish.

I have thrown plant clippings in my container on the windowsill and found shrimp guppy fry and of course snails. Maybe they actually do teleport 🧐
