Lizzyduff
Hello, Just noticed this fuzzy stuff on some roots in my small quarantine tank. Only shrimp and snails in there right now. I can't tell if it's white or green. Any ideas?

Lizzyduff
Ah OK. That's a huge relief! Algae I can live with- especially in a temporary quarantine blackwater tank. I worried it was parasites or bacteria or something. Great news, thank you!!
Beardedbillygoat1975
It’s probably just biofilm so it’s a conglomeration of algae, bacteria, fungi, yeast and other fun stuff. Symbiosis between the plants and the organisms.Same process you saw on the hard scape is happening underground. Nothing to be worried about.
