H.K.Luterman
I'd stack 2 of the large ones together (I love how they stack. I have a stack of 3 in my 75). I'm also a fan of having more filtration capacity than what is probably needed.

Aqua junky
I personally would run two of the large one at each end. But it really depends on your stocking. Say for instance you only have half a dozen guppys and a dwarf pleco and for that chances are you could get away with a smaller sponge. The more fish the more filtration. If its a 55 gallon just for a single betta well I'd say I would run nothing but an airstone and fill it full of plants On 1/25/2022 at 10:06 AM, CaveeMann said: What's the best Hang On the Back filter or filter brand for a 30 gallon aquaclear seems to get alot of attention, If it was me I always go a tad bigger. So if your tank is 30 Gallon I'd get a hob that will handle 50 to 60G
