Native Keeper
Hello! Recently I tried to move one of my crawfish into a new 29 gallon I set up this month. I had a special log cave just for him. But then, about a week after putting him in, he decided to jump out of the tank. Luckily, I heard the sound and was able to move him back into his old tank, which is a 75 gallon. Does anyone know why he would do this? Someone on Discord told me that they heard that crawfish do it when they have air trapped in their shell.
Colu
Most times when fish or invertebrates try to leave a tank it's because of water quality high levels of ammonia nitrites or nitrates Edited December 30, 2021 by Colu
Native Keeper
@Colu I don't think that's the case, I have a Longear Sunfish living in the same tank and he's doing fantastic, in fact his colors are currently the best I've ever seen them.

Gator
@HydraSlayer; In the wild, Sunfish will eat crawdads, crawdads know this, it could be that the Sunfish got too close to the crawdad for the crawdads comfort. I've used crawdads for fish bait many times and I have done very well with them. Edited December 31, 2021 by Gator
