The Fish
Hello fellow fish keepers. I really want to be better about testing water parameters, but every time I do it takes me 30 minutes to an hour. I have tests for PH, ammonia, Nitrite, Nitrate, Phosphate, Copper, GH, KH, Calcium, and Iron. What do I need to test for and what can I skip? And how often?
GameCzar
I only test PH, Ammonia, Nitrates, Nitrites, GH and KH. Chlorine is also on my strips but I've never had any. Once I got used to when my tanks need changing for nitrate control or cosmetics, only about once a week unless I'm making changes or see behavior changes. New tanks I test daily. DaveO
I use the co-op test strips. They test what I need to know for fertilizer dosing and water quality... quick and easy. I just have to say, your user name may be the best one yet.
