Stef
Hi everyone, I have a blue mystery snail with lots of algae on his shell. Does anyone clean their shell by gently scrubbing with a toothbrush? Or just leave it? Towards the tip of his whorl, is that bba? Im guessing if it’s as hard to get off glass it’s equally hard to remove from his shell. He’s in a 5 gal with an easy going betta. Would an amano shrimp clean him (and the tank)?
StockEwe49
I would also like to know the answer to this one of my mystery snails has green spot algae on its shell, I often see pond snails on it! Snail-Inception!
Guppysnail
It does not hurt them but I don’t like to see it. Some algae’s I just don’t want spread about the tank. I use a wet coop magic eraser and very gently wipe it off. gsa I leave be because it does not come off easily and I do not wish to upset or harm them trying to get it off.
