Hobbit
I was at my local farm store looking for erythromycin, but they had some antibiotics I’d never heard of for fish. I ended up purchasing one called cephalexin. I don’t currently have a sick fish so I could return it if I want. Has anyone used this med for fish or heard of it being used? It’s one capsule per 10 gallons (treat 3 times) and the bottle comes with 60 capsules. So it’s a great deal!
Guppysnail
Cephalexin is a good broad spectrum antibiotic it treats gam pos and neg. bacteria. I’ve never used it in fish but had major medical issues for many years and many surgeries and that’s what they alway give me at any sign of infection because it’s a superhero at treating almost anything.
Hobbit
Sorry to hear about your personal experience with this med. ❤️ I’m glad it’s worked for you though! Maybe I’ll keep it around then. Does anyone think it’s too intense for fish?
