I use the standard gravel vac myself, but I still feed my houseplants with the used water, and my plants look great, anything left over goes on the grass.

It's one thing to catch the solids in a mesh bag, but the diseases are microscopic and will go right on through.

I'm glad you pump your used water to your garden, I'll bet your saving a bundle on fertilizers, but I'm still going to use aged water.
