@BenA Were you dosing Easy Green? Because I'm in the similar boat. My plants are thriving...so I'm a little nervous of cutting off the EG. I also do Easy Root Tabs every month to boot.
No EG for me as I live in Europe. I use TNC Light and ordered JBL Pro Flora 7+13 root tablets.

I fight a long hair for the last 2-3 months and now start to see the results, i.e. the end of it.
I have reduced lighting hours to 7.5h (made of 3.5h in the morning and 4h at the afternoon/evening). Also, I have stopped using any liquid fertilizers, instead push tablets down the roots, it seems that I didn't understand the substrate that I used. There is one think that I still have to work on and this is the level of Phosphate in the water. I can't reduce the amount of food, the pigs take the food faster than it goes down for the Cories. Last week I had 2ppm of Phosphate, I changed 100ltr (~26gl) and this week it was down to 1ppm, will change water next week and see where it takes me, then, I will start to dose small amount of ferts. into the water so the Java Fern and the Anubias also have the minerals they need.

I just wish that it was another fish, not one with a big mouth.

Any experience with this sand? It should be home for 12-14 Corys.
Thank you.

Plop and drop is fine but what about the impact with the water?
The aircraft is flying at around 100kts (120m/h) assume that the fish hit the water at 80m/h. If we will hit something at that speed we will be dead which raises the question how many fish are killed or injured?

Thank you very much for the answers, especially @Anton for taking the time to wright such a thoughtful reply. All of you gave lots to think about. The container and tank that got the duckweed are populated with Angels, Tiger Hillstream Loach and Fishnet Flying Fox, none of them touch eat it. The rest of the fish are mainly Rainbows but they are in other tanks.
Again, thank you all.

Today we have found another one and moved it into a temporary home.

I think @Daniel is correct. It could be a Flathead Gudgeon, Philypnodon grandiceps.
Yes, you and Daniel have nailed it. Philypnodon grandiceps (fishesofaustralia.net.au)
Thanks

Evening all.
Cleaned the tank today and the little chap showed up so have siphoned it into a bucket, then transfer to a glass so photos can be taken. I took the fish to the shop and it was identified as a Gobi but they could not say which. They have suspected it to be a cold water fish but that's it. As I didn't want the fish they were mega happy to keep it and rushed it away.
I think that I have misled you a bit previously as I completely overlooked and forgot to mention that I feed live food, Daphnia, Copepods, Mysis Tubifex and Bloodworms so I guess that this is how the fish arrived but I really don't know.
P.S Looking at it today it has 2 dorsal fins

Thank you all, seems that most of you don't like it. I can't say that I am much in love but can see the benefits. I will put some in a mesh bag and introduce it to another container and see what happens. If it stays in there then I will put some bags in the main tank.
Thanks again

Duckweed found its way into one of my tanks and into one container therefore I believe that it is only matter of time before it will move into my main tanks. So the question is how beneficial is it, Is it worth having? Pros/Cons?
Thanks

No chance it might be a hitchhiked egg from plants, decor, substrate, or water from local sourcing?
Nothing new in this tank since I set it up in Feb. All the plants before going into the tank gets a 20min. bleach bath so I find it hard to believe that anything will survive, saying that in the past I found some snails, so who knows?

Does it have a couple of dorsal fins? If so, it could be a gudgeon.
I have looked at my photos and it seems that it has two dorsal fins. If it is a Gudgeon it means problems, I need to catch (easier said than done) it and and check closely, in any case I will take it to a very good LFS near me for positive identification

patterning is different from the "common oto" species and the pectoral fin looks "wrong" to me, but I only have experience with the common oto. What kind of oto did you have in there before?
I am going to show off. The Otos that we had are O. macrospilus, I know because of this Keeping Otocinclus catfish in the aquarium - Practical Fishkeeping

Sorry, can't say as it is very small, about 3/4"long. I will try to check when I see it next. Re Flathead Gudgeon, never had one (and don't know what it is, but will check). If it is the only way for it to enter the tank is with the live food.

I didn't introduce new fish for for long time, also all fish are quarantine for a duration of 6 weeks before they go into the main tank. I live in the UK so there are no wild tropical fish so no fish from the wild.

Another one to check.
Will be back once I am a bit wiser about the options.
Thank you for your time and effort!

This is what I was thinking but...
My last Oto died about 2 months ago and I have decided not to have them anymore. When I saw this one I started to search if there were any reports about spawning but could not find any especially in liquid rock water.

Step ladder and gauntlets, then some tools and please don't use a kitchen chair, there are risks that are not worth taking.

Also have Cherries, haven't lost a single one of them but lost other. The Cherries are multiplying like rabbits, 2-3 weeks ago I announced gladly to the Mrs. that we have 4-5 baby shrimps...I have stopped counting, the number grows daily.
My PH is 8 and I usually carry ~ 40% water change every 2 weeks, my problem is how to clean the substrate without sucking the little shrimps.

I will try but it won't be of a good quality as I use a cell phone. Anyway, last night I saw the female hanging on her tail at a 75 degrees angle under the floating plants, she ignored the food while the male chased it so I knew that something is wrong, this morning she was dead. I have tested the water all is on '0' with Nitrate on 50ppm, no marks or damage to her body, slim was good, clear eyes and the stomach and body shape felt normal.

White stuff with scary looking dots on driftwood. Should I be concerned?

I wouldn't worry. This is type of fungus that over time will disappear. I had something similar for 2 months or so before its gone. I am new to fish keeping and if there is something that I have learnt is that you need a patience of a saint. My problem...I am no saint.
