So I have planted baby tears in a 35 gallon cube with co2 and a finnex planted+. It’s about 20” to the substrate. They seem to be doing good. But any advice for this plant that might help me out.

just to quote cory in you have plants your really dont need a filter you just need to make the water move around... the 5 gallon filter will be fine for the ten gallon, your plants are doing work too, nature's filter.

I bought it as well. My guppies love it, as well as my White Cloud Mountain Minnow. I find it hard to gauge how much to feed (the quantity) because it’s such a fine powder!
Nice, me to Karen I had to get a half teaspoon and scoop it out. I’m think of trying to find a old Parmesan cheese shake or something equivalent to shake it out

Was at LFS saw a different dry fry food. Picked some up to try it out. It’s 100% Antarctic Krill and it’s 250 micron. It’s like powder about the size of baby brine. My guppie and molly fry tore it up. Has anyone else tried this. https://www.amazon.com/NorthFin-Starter-Formula-Fish-Food/dp/B01LZP2OUW

They order twice a week from over seas and once a month from Florida. I live right next to ups world port so even if they don’t need them shipping is quick.

Can’t go wrong with apistos. Another option is panda Corydoras. Really cute, very playful, and generally desirable at the lfs.
That seems nice too. I enjoy corys. I’ll have to ask the lfs what there demand is like they don’t really keep a big tank of them though.

I live right near the falls of Ohio river and there’s tons of driftwood. I’m thinking of scavenging some. Is there anything I should avoid. I know to avoid softwoods. Any advice to tell the difference.

I’m thinking apistogramma cacatuoide, what’s your suggestions. All fish tend to be popular around here. I’ve already have livebearer’s and I’m not big on pelco’s. 😎🐟⁉️

I have a problem. I bought a 75, 40 breeder, 29, 20 high, and a 10. I have no idea what I’m going to do with them😅 I already have a 37 in the garage waiting on Christmas for my daughter. It should be fun trying to figure it out. The Coop will be getting a massive order from me soon. Need lots of air pumps, sponge filters, and plants. Someday I may even get around to putting fish in there🤪.
I have 2 55’s/35 cube/20L/10. So do I. 😂

So it took no time at all to experience crypt melt. Saw that coming though, even my parva plants lost leaves. They’re still in the process of melting those leaves, but my banana plants are doing well with new growth. The one that came with long roots has even started to grow into the substrate.
My Java Fern has lost two leaves, but one leaf is growing little plantlets that I’ve heard everyone talk about. Watching the growth will be fascinating.I discovered a hitchhiker today. The snail is super tiny and surprisingly see through. I guess I’ll need to wait and see what kind as it gets bigger?
I’m tempted to move my proper mystery snail into here as his tank is crashing and moving him would lessen the bioload. If the little guy is surviving, maybe Francis can to?
Depending on the type of snail you maybe want to kill him if you don’t want more lol. I don’t mind snails so I let my live and well I have tons now 🤣

All the way yes!
Man, I wish my bananas would grow like that! The leafs on mine tend to want to melt after a month or two. After reading @Daniel post about Banana plants and their water parameters, I am thinking my water is far to hard and alkaline for them to thrive.
Yeah the tank I have this banana plant in is slightly acidic Ph is 6.5 to 6.8. I use RO/DI cause my tap is Ph of 7.8. and hard

how long do they normally last?
I think someone said in another post this one is scheduled for November 1 - November 11. Sometimes they run out of stock, so getting there sooner rather than later is usually a good idea.
They do it’s in store pick up only. And can we order ahead I decided I a 20 long, gonna breed rams or appisto’s

She (Walstad) was member of our local aquarium club. She told some pretty funny stories (I think this was in the early 2000's) about setting up her first few Walstad method tanks.
Must have been pretty neat to experience that. What thickness sand cap did you use for your tank?

Stretching it’s way across. Pretty neat little plant. Hopefully I can find In ponds around here like @Daniel did in NC. If not Aqua Coop got my back.
