Deann
We have a Opaline Gourami that has half its body change color. We do have other Gourami a in the same tank and they are ok. It’s been doing everything normal. Just curious on what’s going on?
FrozenFins
What are your water parameters? are the opaline gourami picking on the one thats changing color? sometimes these fish will change color when stressed, or when kept in poor water parameters. Hobbit
It could be an issue like James Black suggested. Or... the one that changed color is a male trying to impress the female! The first time my male started flaring for the female his whole chin turned black and I thought he had a fungus. XD Nope, he was just trying to look his best. If they seem happy and active, and if the male has a bubble nest, I’d take this as a good sign.
