I have 7 aquariums and I am really into aquascaping. This will serve as my journal. I am also going to get even more tanks in the future so join me in my fishy journey to learn more about fish keeping, watch my cute shrimps and look at some aquascaping!

This was my most recent project finished! 225L )or approx 60 gallons I think.) Behind the rock to the left I keep a pretty strong pump for my filter feeders, the wooden arches serves as platforms for my filter feeders to use as they will be straight in the current. All other hardscape is placed strategically to avoid the current from being strong in the rest of the tank as many of the residents don't appreciate the strong flow.

I am thinking of adding some plants close to the wooden arches because it is too exposed for my filter feeders as they are very shy, only problem is that the current will push away vegetation so any sturdy plant suggestion is very much appreciated!

Residents:

Vampire shrimps

Bamboo shrimp

Amano shrimp

Green laser corydoras

Kuhli loaches

Bristle nose pleco

Serpae tetras

Neon and Cardinal tetras

Kerri tetras

3 spot gouramies

Since this was my first big tank I had a bit of Noah's Ark syndrome when picking stocking

Looks good! Love me some laser corys. Suggestion, add plants that are rhizome plants, that you can glue to rock and/or wood.

Looking forward to following your journey 😃 @VanDogh.

Yeah, laser corys are so pretty! I was thinking of breeding them but I will have to catch them and out them unto a breeding tank, and to catch a fish without messing up the whole scape is almost impossible 😅

Good idea! Do you have any suggestions for any tall ones that will give coverage?

This is my current project 20240803_080113.jpg.c03af975874584b01c10c58dd1da9f36.jpg

I was rearranging plants and everything was going great.... until I decided to add some woodscapes. My cave broke

Never though I would ever have to hair dry a stone 🤣

when it's dry I will silicone it together again... and this time I will silicone the woodscape along with it so I don't have to go through this floating branch disaster again 🫠

My next project will be my 25L or approx 7 gallon tank.

20240809_040432.jpg.3d6afe73e1597a3d9537847856731844.jpg

A bigass colony of crystal reds live there with tucano tetras and one bamboo shrimp. He is living the life

I am also remaking my 50L or approx 14 gallons a bit but it won't be for the aesthetics, I will change substrate to be able to propagate plants in it and it will act as a breeding tank/quarantine tank/"greenhouse" tank. Currently occupied by a single betta, bristlenose pleco and some amanos. I had some corys there but they moved to the guppy tank because the betta started attacking them

20240809_040903.jpg.58f0e4ab3e6c9970491548663c1bcfd2.jpg

And lastly, I have 2 empty tanks that I am gathering materials for

20240809_041002.jpg.55b561682582bd144f7fde440c326997.jpg

My 140L or 36 gallons (front) and my 450L back (approx 119 gallons)

I don't have any idea what theme I want for the 140L so any suggestions are welcome! It will have sparkle gouramies, a bunch of rasboras, otos and maybe some shrimp. I am also considering adding pea puffers but most likely I will get a new tank for them, a species tank.

The 450L is very exciting and dreadful at the same time because it will empty my wallets due to its size and my plans. I am going to create a waterfall with a cave-ish system in it and keep clown loaches there. It will be a huge project and gathering materials for it will take many months. I don't know what more creatures I should keep there except for the clown loaches, I wanted to keep some vampire shrimp but I fear the loaches will fancy them for dinner. Any suggestions for fish or creatures are welcome! 🙂

For whatever reason the picture above won't go away no matter how many times I edit it

They’re not for everyone - but a Blackwater tank with the Rasboras and Sparkling gourami would be incredible. Their colors would pop like crazy against the tannins!

Love the rock cave structure. Great idea!

Great idea! Made me think of using a whole bunch of floaters and then using a feeder ring maybe you could get a concentrated "spotlight" to highlight some centerpiece in the dark blackwater? 🤔

Oooooh that sounds pretty cool! Rasboras, with  bright colors, (chillis, lambchops) would be great, and to add on to one sparkling gourami like @EricksonAquatics mentioned, a trio of them would be cool!!! Or some gold white cloud minnows with some red cherry shrimp!!!!

I have never seen gold white cloud minnows in my country but I wasn't aware of their existence either. They look pretty cool are they much different from the normal ones or is it just the color? 🥰

True! Maybe I should get a colony of red shrimps or maybe I should move my crystal reds, not sure yet 🤔
