Baby angels on side on bottom

I have noticed that some babies that don't grow seem to spend a lot of time sort of swimming sideways and eating. They don't seem to grow correctly like the others. Is this because of the pear that sired them or are they just runts that need to be culled? Thanks

Yes you will get runts and maybe deformities and must be culled. Also fish give off hormones that will prevent proper growth. That's why it's very crucial to do proper maintenance and water changes. Especially while raising fry.

Also not all are runts probably getting out competed for food.

It usually caused by an undeveloped swim bladder  you will always get a percentage of them in a spawn of angelfish
