NEVER use a yoga mat under your large aquarium

By end do you mean setting it on its side?

As you work you want to avoid anything that would stress or twist the frame .  You could also just turn the aquarium upside down. Whatever is easier for you to take your time and work.

update:

we dipped the tank over and after a little decompressing the mat came right off. Just as I initially suspected the issue was one of suction pressure. No paint peeled and everything was okay. Pictures are included.

does anyone have ideas for perhaps a slick mat to put under a leveling mat so that it would be easier to slide off an empty tank from its stand? Any suggestions would be appreciated! Thanks for tuning into this tiny saga haha.
