De-worming frequency

Hi folks,

I QT everything for a couple of months and they get thoroughly de-wormed before going in display tanks.

Is there any need to repeat the worming process at any point if no non QT fish go in the tank?

The reason I ask is because I do collect daphnia from the local duck pond but I'm not sure if they could introduce anything?

Pretty careful not to let pond water into my tanks

When you say you dewormed them how many treatments are we talking? Often one dose of meds or two doses will not be enough.

Mine get a week's course of Esha ndx and gdex then another week a couple of weeks later while in quarantine

If you're actively seeing parasites you'll want to do 4-6 treatments.  I commonly see 3 recommended, I tend to do 4-5 myself based on a major issue I had and the severity of needing to be thorough.
