Portable RO System attached to a faucet?

Recommended Posts

Any recommendations for a DIY portable RO system that can be attached to a bathroom faucet, and where waste water drains into the sink and treated water into a large bucket.

RO buddy is good as long as you don't need lots of volume.

Most portable units are going to sacrifice size and flow rate, so for nano tanks you'll be fine. For larger aquariums, you may find you spend lots of time waiting for water to be filtered.

Mines rated for 50 gallons a day l, but I get more like 70-75 with our tap pressure and temperature here in SW Florida.  I just pre make it and store it so I'm not waiting around.

@DBrown918 @Chris

thank you both.  if the unit lays on the floor, is there enough pressure for the waste water return to work it's way up to the sink (while still having enough pressure to flow the RO water into a brute can?)

Yes.  If you don't have enough pressure from the tap to move water up to the sink then you have a whole other issue with your water company.  It should be more than enough.
