JFC
Hi, I am having a real issue with algae, I change water weekly and I add algae away to the water and nothing is working. Could I have some tips on how to stop it growing?
Guupy42
One cause of excess algae is high light levels. I've read about the "Blackout Treatment", where you cover the aquarium with a blanket and give it no light, to quickly kill off algae. Another option is to get an algae eater, such as an otocinclus, snail, or shrimp, depending on what type of algae you have.
JFC
Thanks, I think it's green spot algae? I'm fairly new to fish keeping so I'm not exactly sure.

For that an otocinclus or nerite snail for that job @JFC, could you get a picture of it possible @JFC? Oh btw, I see that you are new to this forum, welcome!
