Jenny237
I have a 55 gallon tank with 6 long finned zebra danio, 6 long finned serpae tetra, 4 panda cories, one SAE and 2 nerite snails. I’ve had this tank for over two years and it’s stable. I would love to add the super blue royal tetras (6) to the mix. Is there an issue with the danios? I’m also planning to up the amounts of the schools as well one the new tetra settle in - danio, serpae and cories all up to 8. Thanks! Tony s
Should not be a problem. Emperors shouldn’t be fin nippy. And you have a lot of room left
Jenny237
Thanks! I’ve read online that the danios being so crazy could mess with the tetras. They don’t bother my serpae at all. I found the super blue at my LFS and just love them!
Biotope Biologist
Emperors can hold their own in more rambunctious tanks including bigger tetra characins so the danio aren’t an issue at all just make sure everyone gets enough food Pretty much all danio are very food motivated so slower less aggressive fish can go hungry sometimes
