chrisnjhardy
1 of my praecox has developed 2 large looking lumps on his body. He and the group all appear strong and are eating as normal. Any ideas what his may be? Thanks in advance

wfv
Did you figure this out? I have a new Boesemani rainbow that has a similar lump. I've done a full course of ParaGuard and Kanaplex. He originally had another lump that was more red, but it went away very quickly with the Kanaplex treatment. He seems to have a normal appetite and no unusual behaviors. Colu
With rainbow fish they are very susceptible to mycobacterium it can cause lesion and lumps I can't say for sure that's the cause it could have a bacterial component what I would do is quarantine and do a course of kanaplex that's a broad spectrum antibiotic treatment @wfv
wfv
The second round of Kanaplex in food (Kanaplex+Focus) seems to have taken care of this.

Kanaplex isn't very effective in food as very little of the medication is adsorbed by the intestinal tract I would dose the tank
