Rusty Sprinkler
I hatched out a batch of brine shrimp and froze it in little cubes. After feeding today I left the tray out on the counter and they thawed out for several hours at room temp. Can they be refroze and still used ????? Guppysnail
I would not. The amount of ammonia they released dying would deter me as well as the amount of bacteria. My rule of thumb is if I would not consume human food after something I don’t use it in my tanks. I certainly would not thaw shrimp and leave it on the counter for a few hours and still consider it safe to eat. Those are just my guidelines. Whether it actually is safe I do not know.
AllFishNoBrakes
General rule of thumb is to not use foods that have thawed like that. Better safe than sorry.
