Beardedbillygoat1975
I love UGF tanks. It’s so friendly, nice sounds and they just make me happy. Fun experiments and so great to see you really enjoying and having fun with our hobby!

Fun experiments and so great to see you really enjoying and having fun with our hobby! I've actually been seriously into the hobby since about 2014 ~ 2015. Before that I kept fish as a kid, but unbeknownst to me my fish were being killed by my mom when she would wash out the fish bowl(s) with soap and the hobby was soon forgotten about. Lately I caught the bug to play with older filtering methods. The HOB was set aside for a box filter (on my 10g), then the canister (on my 36g) traded for 2 box(es) On this tank im hoping the UGF helps to reduce maintenance. So far im happy, pleasant trickle sound instead of 'glug-glug' of the bubbles. It freed up a ton of space which is a plus! As far as plant growth and maintenance needs only time will tell! Beardedbillygoat1975
@JoeQyeah I’ve been doing it since age 10 so I’m on my 38th year! Absolutely I’ve run the gamut of box filters, ugfs, sponges, hob, canisters, power head on Ugf and with a sponge and now filter less! It’s a hell of a hobby and has brought we much joy and some sorrow buts the journeys worth it! Have fun!
daggaz
Im with you on the sound. I've got a UGF with a powerhead even, and you almost can't hear it. I think that must be as equally stress-reducing for the fish, as it is for me.
