planting crypts with bent stems

I didn't choose my newly purchased crypts well, most had curved stems when I bought them. See my plant haul at swap meet (center-top, and bottom-right).

Should we leave them alone to melt back on their own, or trim all or some if the leaves? FYI, these have undergone reverse respiration. Won't the crypts melt back anyway, since that's what they notoriously do?
