Epiphanaea
So I’m new to this - from what I’ve read, you’re not supposed to be able to tell the sex of goldfish until they’re at least a year old and sexually mature. However, also based on what I’ve seen/read, this looks pretty definitively female. She (?) is only about 2 1/2” total and is maybe looking like she’s got some veiltail genes (Petco fish, heritage totally unknown), so half of that is tail. In short, unless she’s severely stunted, this fish is probably less than 6 months old. So - opinions? Can I be certain this is a female?
