Thanks! I was just checking since I’m starting to sell fish (Endlers) to my LFS and was wondering if I should expect a visit. 😏

Hi again,

After rereading your original comment, no, we do not go to our local breeders' homes to inspect them for disease/quality. I have individual relationships with all of them, and I know who breeds high-quality stuff. We also quarantine everything that comes in for sale for this reason too, as we never assume fish from any source are 100% clean, ever.

Some specific strains of Ricefish! Yay!

I've been obsessively watching for this list each week. ☺️Nice ricefish haul, still hoping for platinums to come in.

Me too. I wonder what happened to Dean's ricefish breeding, or if he is selling them elsewhere. Had expected some to come in this year so I could get them going in outdoor ponds. Surely Aquarium Coop will sell them easily. Are they harder to raise or something?

I was just at their shop earlier today & have to say the redcap medaka are quite lovely, I was tempted. I went with CPD's for this trip and will hold out for platinums a bit longer. It sounds like they expect to have some soon.

Hi there,

I have not heard when or if platinum medaka will be in stock and available to purchase yet, and thus I have no plans to bring them in anytime soon. Most "strain-type" medakas are locally bred, so I will only have them when the breeders contact me with offers- Dean included. They are good sellers, especially during pond season, so please know I will bring them in whenever that time comes.

Thank you.
