Is This a Male Betta

I was told this was a male half moon round tail betta? Is that correct. Looking at photos on the web, it looks more like a female.

Not an expert in sexing bettas, but i've found the easiest way for me to tell is to get a top view,  my females tend to be wider, more plump, almost boxy looking down from the top, while my big male is much more slender. Hopefully someone can get you a better answer soon.
