Tommy Vercetti
Jimmy filmed a fantastic and helpful video of Dean's Brine Shrimp 101. I am trying to find out where I can get the valves used on Dean's Brine Shrimp hatching bottles. In that video Dean's Brine Shrimp hatching bottles have a valve attached to them. I need help sourcing this exact valve. Thanks for any help. at 6:40 in the video Here is my current setup: Edited January 22 by Tommy Vercetti
bryanisag
Those look like "push to connect" ball valves. Google that or Amazon should have some available.
Tommy Vercetti
Tried that, no luck. I mean of course I googled it before posting this.
bryanisag
Look for ones with all plastic construction to keep it more likely to be fish safe On 1/22/2023 at 9:43 AM, bryanisag said: Look for ones with all plastic construction to keep it more likely to be fish safe On 1/22/2023 at 9:43 AM, Tommy Vercetti said: Tried that, no luck. Tommy Vercetti
I think they are called Murdock valves. Can anyone confirm this? Thanks for your help.
Tommy Vercetti
My wife found them at bulk reef supply. They are called "Mur-Lok Valves". Edited January 22 by Tommy Vercetti
Tommy Vercetti
I just got them installed. They flow much faster than the metal valves that I was using. So that will make harvesting the baby brine shimp go much faster. For anyone who orders some of these Mur-Lok valves, you should also order some "John Guest Locking Clip - 1/4 Inch" (2 per valve). I did not order these because I did not know that I would need them. Luckily I have a 3d printer so I just printed some up and the .stl file was available on thingyverse.
