Trish S
I’m experimenting with growing Bucephalandra emerged. I had a bunch of “scraps” of rhizomes with only a few leaves and small pieces left over. So far it seems successful:) I’m seeing new growth and one is even trying to flower. I re-used plastic grocery store mushroom containers and made drainage holes. I put a layer of safe t sorb, a layer of potting soil, and capped with more safe t sorb. The tray is about 3/4 full of water which I change out weekly. I water them with diluted aquatic plant fertilizer and Spray the foliage every couple of days. They are in a domed seed starting tray under a plant grow light with my African violets.
DaveO
That's a great idea I may use in the near future. Thanks.
Expectorating_Aubergine
I've noticed their colors get less vibrant when grown emersed. Then again mine are grown in terrariums on straight dirt.....
