Should I be dosing Easy Iron?

Hi!

I have a few plants in my 20 gallon high aquarium:

2x Dwarf Aquarium Lily

1x Bacopa Caroliniana

1x Pogostemon Stellatus Octopus

I am dosing about a 15 gallon dose of easy green and adding easy root tabs when I feel necessary. I have had no algae issues! I have a bottle of easy iron that I thought I might need but I am not sure if I should use it if I am not having any issues. Will it better enhance the colors of my plants? Is it worth the risk of getting algae?

Thank you!

If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it 😏!

I’d keep the Easy Iron and save it for when you need it.

Mine sits on the shelf - even at lower dosings I always get some hair algae the next day. I think in Walstad's book she mentions how algae easily outcompetes plants for iron in the water column. Like you I stick with EG and root tabs, eyeballing when the plants need it.
