zayackylepga
Does anyone have any good high temperature stem plants to recommend? The tank hovers from 80-81 and is medium to low light. Have a lot of swords but currently nothing besides some Pogostemon feeding from the water column. Just set up the tank and want to cycle with some plants in there. Thanks!! Hi @zayackylepga 80 - 81 isn't bad at all, most plants can easily tolerate that temperature with the exception of some cold water species. A few plants that come to mind are: Ceratopteris cornuta - Broadleaf Watersprite Ceratopteris thalictroides - Indian Water Fern Rotala 'Bangladesh' - Rotala H'ra - Bacopa colorata - Ludwigia arcuata - Ludwigia arcuata x repens - Nymphoides hydrophylla - Limnophila sp 'Curly' - Hope this helps! -Roy
OutBout
Lots of plants can thrive in higher temperatures. I have a shallow pond (4 inch depth) that was sitting in 95-100 ambient temperatures for week long stretches. The water temperatures was at least 85 and plant growth was intense. No real die off occurred.
